I started working with Rachael by completing Transform21, starting end of June 2016, ending mid July.
Leading up to that point, I was very busy and stressed and I was totally fed up, tired, bloated, sluggish, overweight - exhausted with eating and I didn't know where to turn. Which diet should I try this time? Having completed Transform21, the Graduate Program and currently working 1 to 1 which Rachael, I feel great. So many factors in my life have changed that's it is vital to understand that this is not a diet program, or simply an eating program. The most significant change for me has been my attitude towards food and to myself. Instead of food controlling me I feel I can control what and when I want to eat and still have treats when I REALLY want them, not just as a comfort, a habit, a reward, as I had learned throughout my lifetime. I have learned more about factors which influence my eating habits: water consumption, balance of foods, importance of protein, fibre, sleep, use of technology, monitoring progress not just by weight, but by how I feel, measurements, clothes fitting, photographs ... the list goes on.
Rachael is the most approachable, supportive, non judgemental coach who removes all the anxiety of changing weight, size and fitness. She offers solutions to every issue I have discussed with her, in a realistic, valuable manner which helps develop a rapport of confidence.
Surprisingly, the best bit about the coaching has been the new friends I have made over the last 7 months. Being in groups with like minded people who want to take care of themselves, feed themselves good healthy meals, to feel nourished (not starved), participate in various methods of exercise, appreciate themselves, each other and everyone in their lives (gratitude) to make them happier, more confident women.
Since starting this journey, I have lost over a stone, dropped more than a dress size, reduced my body fat percentage by more than 5%, I've been enjoying PT sessions at the gym (also with Rachael) continued Pilates, walking 10k steps most days and unbelievably I have recently taken up Crossfit!! I could never had imagined my confidence would have grown so much in 7 short months. Instead of going out for coffee and cake when shopping and feeling totally miserable about my size, weight, appearance, I love going into clothes shops, picking up loads of clothes size 12, and trying them on! They all fit! It's the best feeling - better than what the scales say.
