What really matters?

So tomorrow,
I am going home to Scotland for a week
to welcome my new niece of nephew into the world.
(assuming this baby doesn’t turn
at the last minute before my sister’s planned c-section!)
It’s made me have a little think to myself…
All of the problems that I wrote about
yesterday
seem pretty small now when I put into perspective what really matters…
Have you ever stopped to think about
your core values and whether or not you’re living to them?
It’s something I often lose track
of when I’m rushing around my day to day life…
Sometimes it’s only when I stop and think
that I realise
I’ve lost sight of what really matters to me…!
As an entrepreneur,
it’s easy to keep pushing and pushing for that next business opportunity, that extra grand or two in the bank…
but all the while losing track of taking care of yourself and your family…
As a nutritionist and coach
it’s so easy to constantly fix other people but forget about your own health (which is part of the reason why I’m in this mess now!)
As a mum – your entire day revolves around
taking care of everybody in your life apart from yourself…
Do you often spend so much time taking care of others that you forget to take care of yourself?
When you sit down at night,
do you feel exhausted and find yourself numbing the pain with wine and mindless TV?
Do you find yourself getting upset at the slightest things?
Pissed off when you look in the mirror because you’ve neglected yourself for so long that none of your clothes fit anymore?
Dreading your Christmas party because you’re gonna
have to find something that still fits to wear?!
If this is you ^^
I would urge you to STOP.
STOP for just a minute and think about how you feel… acknowledge it…
Once you’ve acknowledged it,
and understand how you truly feel –
then it’s time to think about doing something about it.
Are you truly living the life you want?
Or are you living somebody else’s idea of your perfect life?
I can teach you how to reverse ALL of these
negative feelings in just 3 short weeks.
